Great Denham and Biddenham

A newer village

Great Denham has grown up over the last twenty-odd years, so most homes are modern, with parking.

The Great Ouse runs along its edge, with walks out towards Bromham.

Close to town

Bedford town centre is a couple of miles east, with the A421 and A428 nearby.

Renting and selling in Great Denham and Biddenham

Great Denham sits on the western edge of Bedford, between the river and the A428. It was planned and built in stages, so you’ll mostly find modern family houses, a few blocks of flats and plenty of cul-de-sacs. There’s a primary school in the village and Bedford Golf Club right beside it.

Biddenham, next door, is older and leafier. The original village has thatched cottages and big detached houses along Main Road, while the newer streets towards Bromham Road add more family homes.

Both suit families and professionals who want somewhere quieter but still need to get into Bedford, or onto the A421, without a fuss. Landlords like the newer houses here too. They tend to need less maintenance, which keeps running costs down.
