Kempston is a town in its own right, with its own council and high street, but most people who live here treat Bedford as next door. The two meet along the river and the Bedford Road, and plenty of our tenants work in one and live in the other.

It suits people who want a bit more room than central Bedford gives them for the same rent. Around the older part of town there are Victorian and Edwardian terraces. Further out it’s mostly semis and detached houses on estates built from the 1960s onwards, many with driveways.

Getting about is easy by car. The A421 runs right past, so the M1 and Milton Keynes are close, and Bedford station is a short drive for London.
